Inclusive elements

Inclusive playgrounds are designed so that all children can play – regardless of age, physical or mental abilities or individual needs. The point of inclusion is not to create separate spaces, but to offer a shared environment where children can discover, learn and develop their skills together.

Why are inclusive elements important?

They promote shared play: Children can engage in activities together, which strengthens empathy, cooperation and social skills.

They remove barriers: The playground is easily accessible to children with limited mobility, sensory or other disabilities.

They increase safety: Thoughtful design minimizes the risk of injuries and encourages natural movement.

They create an environment for development: Play is important for physical, mental and social development - inclusive elements allow all children to experience it.
